GENERATING A SUCCESS STORY
A candidate SBIR/STTR success story may be self-initiated by
the small business firm, provided directly by the Air Force Technical Point of
Contact (TPOC), submitted by the respective SBIR/STTR Program Manager, or
initiated by another Air Force or DoD office (e.g., system program
office). After the story has been
reviewed, it will be posted to the Shopping Mall website and possibly used in
selected presentations, brochures, videos, program handouts and briefings. These stories also make for excellent company
marketing material.
We will coordinate the completion of the success story with the TPOC and the company. If you have any questions concerning the procedures, please contact info@sbirsttrmall.com
SUCCESS STORY CATEGORIES AND CRITERIA
Innovation Story
The criteria include SBIR/STTR projects that
have successfully met Air Force SBIR/STTR technology program requirements in
Phase II. However, completed Phase I
projects with “clearly outstanding potential for Air Force-DoD,” as determined by
the TPOC, can also be included. Moreover,
projects that meet unique laboratory requirements serving Air Force test ranges
and facilities, depot floor process/procedure and/or maintenance capabilities
are eligible as well.
Transition Story
The criteria include SBIR/STTR technology
that has transitioned into an Air Force system or subsystem, or technology
originally developed through an Air Force SBIR/STTR project that has
transitioned into another DoD agency system or subsystem. (Note: “Transitioned” means “currently used”
in an operational system/subsystem.)
